It's been a while since the last time I wrote to you, and now  that I´m finally back doing what I love, I want to talk about one of my favorite designers: Rolando Santana.
Born in Cuernavaca Morelos (Mexico), he grew up surrounded by  textures, colors and beautiful designs thanks to his mother, who ran a small dressmaking business for selected clients.
Inspired by the art of designing and  pattern-making, Rolando honed his talents, spending his  free time at his mother´s workshop, and finally in 1991  he moved to New York City convinced  of his dream about becoming a fashion designer.
He joined the Mercy College where he studied International Business, and then entered the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
He worked as Assistant and Designer for Jeremy Spencer; in 2005 , Rolando joined the brand Donna Morgan as Creative Director and in 2006  he took the position of


When I hear or see the name Anthony Vaccarello the first thing that comes to my mind is the black color, because in Vaccarello´s collections is a basic, this and the  sexy asymmetrical shapes that make him one of my favorite designers.
Born in Brussels on September 4, 1982; he attended "La Cambre" where he studied sculpture and later, after graduating in 2006, he won first place in the Hyeres International Festival of Fashion and Photography, there he caught  Karl Lagerfeld´s attention, who invited him to work for the famous fashion brand Fendi.

Born in Westchester County, NY . Carmen Marc Valvo discovered his passion for fashion design when his parents, who had studied different branches of medicine ( anesthesiologist father , nurse mother) showed him educational books of anatomy for children, with the intention of making their child follow their footsteps , but instead , Carmen started to be fascinated about silhouettes and the art of them . His interest in art led him to take the Fine Arts program at Manhattanville College , and after traveling in Europe , he realized that his true passion was fashion design and finally went to Parsons School of Design.

Jeremy Scott is back in the news with his presentation Fall- Winter 2014/2015 in the NYFW;  the designer has given a new twist to the Moschino House  with his quirky and colorful collections, plus the fun shows where the audience and the models have a good time.
Celebrities like Rita Ora and Katy Perry attended the event, wearing pieces from the Moschino pre- collection fall/winter 2014.


Mara Hoffman is one of the most recognized designers because of the touch of spirituality, nature and magic that she shows in every season. Born in Buffalo NY, She studied fashion design at Parsons NY and then entered the Central Saint Martins Collegue of Art and Design in England. Last January 21 was held at the Grand Palais Paris one of the most important shows of the year: Chanel, in  hands of the legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld, recognized not only for his impeccable designs, but for his talent in photography and the ease with which has been linked over the years to become one of the most important fashion characters in the world  working for big houses like Balmain, Chloe, Fendi, his own brand Karl Lagerfeld created in 1974, H & M and of course, since 1984 he has been designer and creative director for the House of Haute Couture: Chanel.

La reconocida marca Moschino fué fundada  por el artista y diseñador Franco Moschino (27 febrero 1950- 18 Septiembre 1994, Abbiategrasso, Lobardía).
Moschino asistió a la escuela de Bellas Artes en Milán  con la visión de convertirse en pintor, pero con el tiempo su atención se enfocó en el dibujo de moda y trabajo para Gianni Versace como ilustrador de bocetos de moda.

Domenico Dolce ( born August 13, 1958 in Polizzi Generosa, Sicilia) and Stefano Gabbana (born November 14, 1962 in Milan) creators of the prestigious italian brand Dolce and Gabbana are a unique duo, each season their collections are irresistible, besides the elegance and good taste, every creation has a history behind.
A clear example is their impressive fall - winter 2013/2014 show in Milan. The collection was inspired by the romantic paintings and mosaics of the Cathedral of Monreale (Sicily), reflected in the prints of the beautiful dresses and oversized shirts.

Emilio Pucci ( 20 November 1914 - 29 november 1992), was part of a Noble Family in Florence.
His entrance in the Fashion world started with his love for sports, specially skiing, which was one of his passions. In 1935 he won a skiing scholarship to study in the Reed Collegue in Oregon, where he started to make his first designs in skiing clothing. but it was not until 1946 while Pucci was in Switzerland when Tony Frissell, a photographer who worked for Harper's Bazaar discovered Pucci and asked his editor to make an article about European Winter Fashion based on Emilio´s designs. The collection caused such sensation that in 1950 Pucci already had his own boutique in the Isle of capri where he had costumers like

If anyone knows how to make a woman look glamorous is the fashion designer and winner of Project Runway NY Christian Siriano, with his dreamy and fresh collections.
Siriano was born on November 8, 1985 in Annapolis, Maryland, he attended the Baltimore School for the Arts, then he moved to London and decided to focus on Fashion Design. He worked with big designers such as Vievenne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. During a time he worked on the

Elie Saab nació en el Líbano en 1964.  Desde muy pequeño descubrió su vocación y supo cómo se ganaría la vida . A los 9 años  fabricaba vestidos para su madre y su hermana, y para los 18  ya tenía su propio taller y dominaba perfectamente la sastrería. Sus hermosos diseños causaron sensación y en el año 2000 fue invitado a desfilar en París por la Cámara Sindical de Alta Costura, y 6 años después se volvió miembro corresponsal.

Paola Wong, creadora de la reconocida marca de ropa mexicana Pink Magnolia, llenó de colores y dulces  el Fashion Week con su colección Bubble Love primavera- verano 2014.
La joven diseñadora ah ganado su lugar en el mundo de la moda gracias a la originalidad y pasión que pone en cada una de sus colecciones encontrando inspiración en cada rincón.
Ésta vez, su colección se basó en los dulces, especialmente los chícles; en el evento se encontraron estampados de paletas, colores pastel, olanes y las irresistibles plataformas que completan el look.

Paola Wong, creator of the Mexican clothing brand Pink Magnolia, filled with colors and candies the MBFW Mexico with her collection Bubble Love spring/ summer 2014.
The young fashion designer has earned her place in the fashion industry thanks to the originality and passion that she shows in each one of her collections finding inspiration in every corner.
This time, she was based on candies, especially bubble gums; the runway was full of lollipop prints, pastel colors, ruffles and the irresistible platforms that completed the look.

Marc Jacobs dice adiós a Louis Vuitton

El reconocido diseñador de moda Marc Jacobs, decidió dejar atrás Louis Vuitton despúes de 16 años  dentro de la firma para concentrarse en su propia marca.
La noticia fué confirmada por el Presiedente delegado de la marca LVMH al terminar el show primavera -verano 2014 de Marc Jacobs en París.
Se rumora que podría ocupar su puesto el ex diseñador de Balenciaga, Nicolas Guesquére.

Marc Jacobs  fué graduado de la Escuela de Arte y Diseño NY en 1981, al terminar sus estudios ingresó a Parsons The New School of Design, dónde despúes de crear su primer colección, en 1987 ganó el premio Perry Ellis como nuevo talento.
Con más de nueve premios de excelencia como diseñador por parte del consejo de Diseñadores de Moda de América (CFDA), 285 tiendas a nivel mundial, cuatro lineas incluyendo Marc Jacobs y Marc by Marc Jacobs y la nueva linea de cosméticos que lanzó a principios de 2013 con sephora; a sus 50 años, Marc Jacobs no es sólo un diseñador, si no un visionario.

Una de las grandes hazañas de Marc Jacobs fué sacar a flote la firma LVMH con la visión innovadora, atrevida y fresca que le representan.

The recognized fashion designer Marc Jacobs decided to leave behind Louis Vuitton after 16 years working for the brand to focus on his own firm.
The notice was confirmed by the President of LVMH at the end of the Marc Jacobs summer - spring 2014 show in Paris.

Marc Jacobs graduated from the Highschool of Art and Design NY. In 1981 he entered Parsons The New School of Design NY, where after creating his first collection, in 1987 he won the Perry Ellis Award for new Fashion Talent.
With more than nine Excellence Awards received by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), 285 international stores, four lines including Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs and his new Marc Jacobs Make up collection 2013 with Sephora ; with just 50 years, he is not just a designer but a visionary.

Hace unas horas Givenchy se presentó en el Paris Fashion Week con el diseñador Riccardo Tisci la colección primavera - verano 2014  ready- to - wear.
Con un escenario que representaba un choque en llamas  y looks con estampados y lentejuelas brillantes en forma de tribales, colores brillantes y máscaras salvajes, la colección Givenchy definitivamente soprendió a todo espectador.

Además, la semana pasada Givenchy presentó también la colección primavera- verano 2014 men´s show,  un evento colorído, con cortes irregulares,  abrigos largos con tribales bordados y estampados azules, rojos , grises,  oliva y negros.
Esta colección va a dejarte con la boca abierta!

A few hours ago, Givenchy presented in the Paris Fashion Week with the designer Riccardo Tisci the spring 2014 collection ready- to- wear.
With a stage that represented a car crash on fire and looks with prints and shiny sequins tribal shaped, brilliant colors and wild masks, the Givenchy collection definitely surprised the all audience.

Also, last week Givenchy presented  the summer/ spring 2014 men´s show, a colorful event, with irregular shapes, long coats with tribal embroideries and blue, red, grey, black, olive and brown prints.
This show will leave you with your mouth open!

Kenzo presentó en la semana de la moda Paris su colección Otoño Invierno  2013- 2014.
Según los directores creativos Carol y Humberto, la colección quizo hacer reverencia a una cultura de la cúal habian estado sorprendidos y obsesionados desde hace tiempo, me refiero a la cultura Indú.
Entre colores brillantes, joyería destacada, música característica,  y estampados singulares el protagonísta de la colección fué el Ojo de Kenzo, mejor llamado "El ojo que todo lo ve", el estampado fué visto en faldas, sueteres, camisas, chamarras, abrigos y en los irresistibles tacos altos presentados.

"El Ojo que todo lo ve alude a la fuerza de extra visión y también es una protección espiritual contra el mal de ojo."

 Kenzo presented in the Paris Fashion Week the Fall Winter collection 2013- 2013.
According to the creative directors Carol and Humberto, the collection wanted to make a reverence to a culture that they have been shocked and obsessed with for a long time, Im talking about the Indian Culture.
Between bright colors, highlighted jewelry, characteristic music and singular prints, the protagonist of the runway was the Kenzo Eye, also known as " The all - seeing eye",  we could se it in skirts, sweaters, shirts, jackets, coats and in the irresistible and original high heels presented.

"The all - seeing eye alludes to the strength of extra vision, and also to a spiritual protection from above."
