TBT Rolando Santana
It's been a while since the last time I wrote to you, and now that I´m finally back doing what I love, I want to talk about one of my favorite designers: Rolando Santana.
Born in Cuernavaca Morelos (Mexico), he grew up surrounded by textures, colors and beautiful designs thanks to his mother, who ran a small dressmaking business for selected clients.
Inspired by the art of designing and pattern-making, Rolando honed his talents, spending his free time at his mother´s workshop, and finally in 1991 he moved to New York City convinced of his dream about becoming a fashion designer.
He joined the Mercy College where he studied International Business, and then entered the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
He worked as Assistant and Designer for Jeremy Spencer; in 2005 , Rolando joined the brand Donna Morgan as Creative Director and in 2006 he took the position of

Last thursday (September 4), an unexpected notice paralized the hearts of many: The 81 year old actress and comedian Joan Rivers passed away after a serie of complications during a surgery.
Joan Alexandra Molinsky (Born June 8, Brooklyn NY), started her career in late 1959 in Off- Broadway Productions, which are independent plays of the broadway concept in NY city.
In 1961 she joined "The Second City", one of the most famous comedy clubs in Chicago, and worked also as a comedian in a lot of cafes and clubs until 1965,
