Born in Westchester County, NY . Carmen Marc Valvo discovered his passion for fashion design when his parents, who had studied different branches of medicine ( anesthesiologist father , nurse mother) showed him educational books of anatomy for children, with the intention of making their child follow their footsteps , but instead , Carmen started to be fascinated about silhouettes and the art of them . His interest in art led him to take the Fine Arts program at Manhattanville College , and after traveling in Europe , he realized that his true passion was fashion design and finally went to Parsons School of Design.
Carmen Marc Valvo worked with haute couture houses like Dior and
Nina Ricci in Paris, and after having more experience in fashion, in 1998 he finally created his own brand Carmen Marc Valvo Couture, which is part of the NY Fashion Week each year. In 2011 the designer presented his book " Dressed to Perfection : The Art of Dressing for your Red Carpet Moments" and recently joined the HH Brown Shoe Company to create his new line of shoes produced in Italy.

This year the Carmen Marc Valvo fashion show fall / winter 2014-2015 was one of my favorites, because besides being a splendid collection , the designer also focused on the comfort and the women´s strenght.
Broad Vests, fluffy coats, leather leggings and slender gowns with bright prints and textures fitted perfectly with the boots and high heels in shiny black color.
The most viewed colors were black , gold , red, brown , blue and silver , plus textures and transparencies that were placed strategically to make the dresses look sexy and classy.
The designer created a femenine but strong collection. Stunning and warrior women walked the catwalk.
The makeup of the models consisted in putting more emphasis on their eyes with a delineated above and below the eyelid, brown and golden eyeshadows and perfect eyebrows . For the hair a strong long ponytail and fake fringes.

I loved this collection, it describes a strong and femenine woman, I love the colors, and the fact that it doesnt look like is too much. One of my favorites this year, kind of describes my style.

Carmen Marc Valvo descubrió su pasión por el diseño de moda cuando sus padres, quienes habían estudiado diferentes ramas de la medicina ( padre anestesiologo, madre enfermera) comenzaron a mostrarle libros educacionales para niños en dónde se apreciaba la anatomía del ser humano, esto con la intención de que su hijo se familiarizara también con esta profesión; pero en vez de eso, Carmen se fascinó con las siluetas. Su interés por el arte le llevó a tomar el programa de Bellas Artes en el Colegio Manhattanville, y tras viajar por Europa, se dió cuenta de que su verdadera pasión era el diseño de moda y entró finalmente a Parsons, School of Design.
Carmen Marc Valvo trabajó junto a casas de alta costura como Dior y Nina Ricci en París, y finalmente, en 1998 creó su propia marca Carmen Marc Valvo Couture, misma que es parte del Fashion Week NY cada año. En 2011 el diseñador presentó su libro "Dressed to Perfection: The Art of Dressing for your Red Carpet Moments" y recientemente, se unió con la compañía de zapatos H.H Brown Shoes para crear su nueva linea de calzado producida en italia.

Este año, el show Otoño/ Invierno 2014-2015 de Carmen Marc Valvo fué uno de mis favoritos, y es que además de ser una colección espléndida, el diseñador también se concentró en la comodidad de las mujeres.
Chalecos amplios, abrigos esponjos, leggings de piel y vestidos delgados de seda o con texturas y estampados brillantes encajaron a la perfección con los botines y zapatillas en color negro brillante.
Los colores más vistos fueron el negro, dorado, rojo, café, azul y plateado, además de las texturas y transparencias que fueron puestas estratégicamente para formar vestidos sexys y con clase.
El diseñador creó una colección femenina pero con mucho carácter, mujeres imponentes, cómodas y sexys caminaron sobre la pasarela.
El maquillaje de las modelos consistió en poner más énfasis en los ojos con un delineado arriba y debajo del párpado, sombras acorde a los tonos principales de la colección como el café y dorado y cejas remarcadas. Para el peinado bastó con unas maravillosas colas de cabello enlazadas con cintas de cuerdo y flecos falsos.

Esta colección me parece irresistible y describe a una mujer fuerte, sexy y femenina, cuando tuve la oportunidad de ver esta pasarela me encantó!
