El diseño de moda no es sólo un conjunto de vestimentas que marcan tendencia, es una cultura e historia reflejadas en cada pieza presentada en las colecciones. Esto lo demuestra la diseñadora Mary Katrantzou con sus características y artísticas colecciones.
De origen griego, en 2003 ingresó a la Escuela de Diseño de Rhode Island ( Estados Unidos) en la carrera de arquítectura, para después traspasar sus estudios al Central Saint Martins Colegio de Arte y Diseño en Inglaterra, donde terminó por estudiar Diseño Textil especializado en interiores, y realizó un master en estampados textiles.
Con una visión artística amplia, una apreciación fundamentada por la cultura y la moda, Mary Katrantzou dió vida a sus diseños basados en patrones e impresos textiles; el mundo trendy no ha dejado de sorprenderse con las colecciones. Personajes influyentes como Anna Dello Russo y Miroslava Duma han modelado diseños de Katrantzou, pues han causado gran impacto. La innovación y percepción del mundo y los sentimientos plasmados en una pieza, es simplemente arte, el arte de la moda.

Fashion Design is not just a clothing assembly setting trends, it is also a culture and history reflected in each piece presented on the runways. This is what the Fashion Designer Mary Katrantzou shows with her characteristic and artistic collections.
Born in Greece, in 2003 M. Katrantzou attended Rhode Island School of Design to study architecture, after that, she finally got transferred to the Central Saint Martins Collegue of Art and Design where she studied textile design and realized a master´s degree on textile prints.
With a wide artistic vision, a fundamented appreciation for culture and fashion, Mary Katrantzou gave life to her designs based on patterns and textile prints; and the trendy world is still surprised with the collections. Influential characters such as Anna Dello Russo and Miroslava Duma have worn Katrantzou´s designs.
The innovation and perception of the world and the embodied feelings on each piece, is simply art, the art of fashion.
